What is Immunity?
Immunity may be defined as the ability of a person to fight against any harmful microorganism or infection, disease by producing multicellular organisms that create an invisible barrier.
Immunity may be categorized into two parts:-
A. Innate Immunity
B. Adaptive Immunity
Innate Immunity is defined as the inter immunity or it is the original form of genetic defense of any living being.
It can be categorized into two types:-
A. Non-specific innate immunity (a degree of resistance to all immunity)
B. Specific innate immunity is the inner immunity or resistance towards a particular type of microorganism. As this type of immunity is related to the genetic structure so some Races, breeds, and families do not suffer from a specific kind of disease.
Adaptive immunity is broadly divided into two categories as per how immunity required.
A. Natural adaptive immunity:- It is developed when someone contact with a disease-causing agent. It can further be divided based on the host develop immunity system.
- Active Infection:- It is immunity developed by the host through its grown resistance while infected.
- Passive Immunity:- Passive immunity is the transfer of immunity in the form of ready-made antibodies from one person to another. This method is used currently during this COVID-19 pandemic situation in different countries. blood from healthy people recovered from Coronavirus has been taken and inserted to the infected people for curing them.
B. Artificial Immunity:- This type of immunity can be achieved through deliberate action such as vaccination.
- Active Vaccination:- This type of immunity is achieved in a human being through vaccination to protect against a foreign microorganism.
- Passive Antibody Transfer:- Artificially Acquired passive immunity is a short term immunization by transfer of antibodies which can be administrated in several forms as human or animal blood plasma.
From the ancient era, we can find different arguments upon immunity to boost immunity through some usual practice. In Ayurveda, we can find a lot of good habits and food to boost immunity and our ancestors practicing theses habits to live a long life. The practice of Yoga, Different exercise, Food made our ancestors so strong to fight normal disease.

LifeStyle:- Changing our lifestyle has a great impact on our immunity
- Don't smoke
- Exercise regularly, Go for Yoga and meditation.
- Maintain a healthy weight, by taking a healthy diet.
- If you drink alcohol, drink only in moderation.
- Get adequate sleep.
- Take steps to avoid infection, such as washing your hands frequently and cooking meats thoroughly.
- Try to minimize stress.

- Probiotics
Human beings are born with a basic immune system that is weak. Through constant interaction with the microbes in our environment, and within our gut, we learn to fight against new microbes, which helps to strengthen the immune system.
Due to heavy commercialization and media focus we just inclined to the western culture. We are far from nature day by day. We have started living in the concrete jungle, due to which we are not able to come across the microbes in the natural environment. So gradually our body lost its natural strength to develop its own antibody to fight against the antibodies. We are maintaining a high level of hygiene for our child due to which in a small weather change they are getting ill and we are indirectly serving the Pharma companies.
For 30 years different companies came with different fundamentals to enhance immunity. In recent years Immunity Becomes a keyword for doing good business. These companies know very well that they can sell anything they want in the name of immunity and people just act as per their will.
Some examples:-
- Some malt-based food companies claim that with their food they can increase the strength of Milk and enhance our immunity. But from research, it is found that Milk has sufficient nutrients to make us healthy.
- Some soap claims that they can boost immunity. For maintaining hygiene soap is good but Growth of immunity .....
- Some Air-Conditioner companies running an ad that their air-conditioner is capable to give fresh air with immunity booster molecule. How it is possible.
- In recent years some Wall paint companies say that their paint is antibacterial and it maintains our immunity and healthiness.
So after using the above products for long how our immunity standard getting low. Aren't we fool to believe whatever we watch on television and social media. It is the time self-thinking for our better future and how we guide our new generation.
