Real life story of a Telecom site engineer

About:-
This is the story of an engineer  Sumeet(Not the original name), this is about his life journey as a site engineer in a reputed multinational project company installing and commissioning a telecom tower for a reputed company. This is a true story which I am going to share with you.

Brief:-
It was the year 2008 April I lost my job in software due to the crash of the share market. I was too much frustrated without any job. It's a natural tendency. I was frustrated not due to I lost my job, I was frustrated because what my neighboring aunties will say, what will be the reaction of my friends as I was the 1st person among my all friends. In India, as compared to your parents all your neighbors at your colony are caring more about your job and the amount of salary. From morning to evening they are seeking to inquiry about your lifestyle. So I had not done anything wrong which create a bad picture to my character( it includes, Not taking alcohol, No smoking, No affair with a girl). I was not as successful as a lover boy in my college career. You can say I was a sanskari boy(Cultured) of my colony.

On a hot summer afternoon, I was having lunch with my parents. It is usual practice to have lunch at 12.30 PM after my father comes for a lunch break. Near about 1 PM I got a call for a campus selection in a telecom company. Without thinking anything I just say yes. In the evening I booked a ticket to Bhubaneswar. The next morning  I attended the job interview and surprisingly I got selected in the job i.e. site engineer in a multinational company x projects limited. All the candidates selected in the interview shared mobile no and planned for booking tickets to Chennai where our training was going to be held.
After 7 Days we reached Chennai for our training Having a new dream and new challenge. The 15 Days training was just like a holiday package. Who knows it was a honeycomb and the fieldwork was just the reverse. However, after the completion of training, we returned back to our headquarter and the job assignment, and the area of responsibility was given to all members.

At last, it was the new job started after 6 days of transit period. Luckily I got my job in my locality. The First Day my area head called me to go to a site for monitor work execution. Generally in the rural area, the telecom tower is installed in a remote area where communication is not good. But I could manage to reach the site and after knowing the actual work that I have to do I was just lost my consciousness. I had to look after the labor of those who are working for civil work and count all the parts to erect the telecom tower one by one. Also, I had the responsibility to check all the electrical installation work and quality checks. I suddenly thought that I just wasted my 4 years of engineering degree. Because just like all engineering students I had thought of being an engineer I will sit in an AC room and give orders. But I had no choice I had to work.
It's six months passed working in the same job. I was doing well in my work performance. Suddenly a turning point came to my life. I just got the proof against my area head about doing corruption by taking money from the civil vendor. I just send all the evidence to my head office and he was dismissed from his job. Now I was the new area head in a short period. I had to work more as compared to before. I just got a car to cover all the work progress in my area of control. That feeling was something different when you got promoted from a bike to a four-wheeler, It feels more precious when it is from your company. As there is no investment and you got a driver in free of cost.
Once in a site, my site engineer was not willing to go due to the threat of Maoist in that area. So as a boss I decided to go. I reached the site at 11.30 Am and inquired about the place exactly where our work going to begin. Suddenly 11 young men came, pushed me towards a tree, and asked me to give 25 thousand. Some of them started beating me. I was not able to understand why they were doing this me. I just shouted stop and just asked who is your leader I want to talk with him. One of them come and started talking with me very rudely, asked me what do you want to say. I just asked them why they are doing this to me and how they know that I have this much money. He suddenly replied you are the contractor, you have money, give us, we are a member of the Maoist group. I requested him to wait for the contractor, and I am not the contractor. At 3 PM the contractor came and gave some money to those people. I was very angry over the contractor for coming late. I just had my lunch at 4 PM. In the evening the civil work, the raft casting started and I just started a quality check of the material used and the composition. The civil contractor started a discussion of valueless topics, offer me Drinks to divert my concentration from my job. When he was failed to do so he just started requesting me to go from the site otherwise he will not get any benefits. He also tried to bribe me, but realizing the incident of the morning I decided to move. I was so much tired. I just wanted to sleep. I entered the room where they have arranged the bed. I just changed my clothes. and waiting for dinner. After having my dinner I just wanted to sleep, but the contractor came and just offered a glass of wine. I refused to take as I don't drink. Suddenly he started laughing over me and told you are an engineer and you don't drink! shame on you. I was in confusion about whether there is any connection between engineering and wine. However, he left with his wine bottle and after some time a young girl entered my room and asked 'do you want anything'. I replied No, and my eyes stuck on her for a while. In no time I scanned her figure. She came near to me and just sit near to my leg.  That girl was damn hot to handle. In curiosity, I asked her what is your name and what are you doing here. She replied I am Nandini(not original name)' don't you know why I am here', Mr. Agarwal(The civil contractor) has sent me for you. Now I was able to understand the whole picture.
In an unknown place with an unknown girl served to you, And I mentioned earlier I was a cultured boy. The situation of my mind you can imagine. My heartbeat started at a faster rate, I lost my control and grabbed the hand of that girl and pushed her near to me to feel her. She doesn't resist and support. My eyes stuck to her private parts, and the girl gave a cute smile.
But suddenly my cultured boy mind Falls over my mind to move further and I just stopped. The girl was shocked by my activity. She asked what happened, and I replied nothing, I can't do this with you. I also mentioned about her beauty and started the casual talk with her about her life, family, and studies.
I was shocked to know that she was just 17 and she was studying in 12 grade in school. For money and support her family, she was doing this. At 8 Am I got up and found the girl left my room. I just refreshed and wend to the worksite to verify the work condition. The was completed and I returned by checking the measurement sheet.
It was already 16 months passed and suddenly telecom projects stopped in the year 2009  due to 2G scams. I left my job as I was not feeling my job secured in the telecom field. Lots of things I had to share but in a single blog it is not possible.

Rafting At Rishikesh......the Ultimate adventure

 What Is Rafting:-
Rafting is the highly adventurous sport of sailing through a river in an inflatable Raft, Involvs several levels of difficulties, Depending on how turbulent the river is. These ‘level’ of difficulties are categorized according to the presence of rapids, which evolve due to sudden plunges in the river height, and so because of rocks, small or large.
Rafting is a challenging but amazingly fun activity for adult and now a days for the grown children’s also. But you have to follow some point for your safety otherwise it will no more fun and becomes a tragedy. The points are as follows:-
         1.  Listen carefully to the instructor’s safety tips and keep it in mind.
        2. While white water(Rapids) comes it creates fear but river running done properly under professional guidance and with the right training.
3.While you go for rafting just conform that you are using the appropriate equipment. The raft condition also to be in good condition. This is the prime duty of the agency providing the service.
4.If you follow international safety and ecological norms (like tightening of the life jacket, using of helmet , use of paddle in danger condition) then it can be an extremely safe, enjoyable, and exciting adventure sport.
Generally, the start of rafting took 30 minutes for preparation for all member’s safety equipment ,Inflation of the Raft, and 15 minutes for explaining of the safety instructions. The above things are the most important things because most of the people doing rafting are non-swimmers.
Rapid During Rafting

Equipment for Rafting:-

A.  Rafts are inflatable boats made out of either multi-layered synthetic rubber (Hypalon) or vinyl fabric (PVC) Measurement 3.5m (11ft) and 6m (20ft) in length, and 1.8m (6ft) and 2.5m (8ft) in width) and are exceedingly durable.
B. Helmet
C. Life Jackets.
D. Hard Paddles

Rafting At Rishikesh:-
Rafting in Rishikesh is now very popular at the river of Ganges in recent years after spiritual activity. The rising demand for the sport has naturally led to the growth of several rafting tour operators in Rishikesh. It’s important to partner with the right company to have a good experience.

On The Day Of Rafting:-
In the early morning, the rafting Agency people come to the gate of the Hotel. Usually, they are making a Group of 8 people for one ride. Exactly at 6.30 AM, our vehicle moves to Shivpuri. As we have taken the package from Shivpuri to Laxmanjhula (11KM). After 40 minuted we reached to Shivpuri. When all members gathered the agent provide us all the safety equipment. Then we move forward to the riverside. What a climate that was! In the morning besides the riverside of Ganga full of Oxygenated air and splendid view.
At the gathering Point

On the way to River Belt
As it was our 1st time for rafting we were a little bit excited and also fear what is going to happen with us.

At last, we reached the start point. The instructor cum pilot came with the RAFT. He started the safety instructions for 15 minutes. Then he arranged all the material, instruct all the members to sit as per the weight and height for balance. There are about 6 major rapids in between Shivpuri to Laxman Jhula. I was at the front of the raft , our raft starts sailing towards the destination. We all carefully obeying the instruction of the pilot. When the first rapid came we start forcefully paddling against the water force. During this time the heartbeat runs as faster as it can due to fear and secretion of extensive Adrenalin. Anyhow, we crossed the first rapid, and then on the was we gone through some small rapids. Now it was the time of the second rapid, due to the faulty pedal movement of one of our members we suddenly pulled by the current towards a large rock. At that time with the instruction of the pilot, I just stuck my paddle to the rock and changed our direction. It was just like a breathtaking moment for us. After some moment the water flow was quiet and we came across the maggie point.

Jumping In to the river
Before the Maggie Point
At maggie point, you can take rest and have some break with eating hot maggie near the chilled environment. Then again we started rafting. Crossed the 3rd and 4th rapid easily. Here the pilot told us to jump to the water by holding the raft rope in hand end enjoy the water. as we wear the safety jacket we started floating on the river water. It was a completely different experience for a non-swimmer like me. Anyhow the last rapid was not so difficult for us to cross. After crossing all the hurdles I realized that all the control was done by the pilot, we just do all the hard work for our excitement.  After 1.30 Hour we reached Laxmanjhula ghat with the great experience which can't be forgotten.
There are so many Agencies, providing the rafting facilities at Rishikesh. But always prefer the experienced facility provider with the best quality instructor and pilots.

Journey To Bhimkund and Sanghagra Waterfall

After the Morning Arti at Maa Tarini temple,Ghatagaon at 6.30 AM we came out from the temple. We had out breakfast. It was the time to go to Bhimkund, the natures miracle.

About Bhimkund: -
Bhimkund, a beautiful natural water reservoir on the Baitarani River covering the boundary line between the districts Keojhar and Mayurbhanj. It a nature miracle, explains a lot when scores of visitors make this place as their idle place to visit. This is an ideal place for picnickers. This place is the gift of Baitarani river creating two most beautiful and scary waterfall called sanakunda and Badakunda. These are the main attraction for the tourist.
Top View Of Bhimkund

History of Bhimkund:-
This the black pathway made due to Bhimas Gada
It is believed that Bhimkund has link with the Pandavas of Great Hindu epic Mahabharata. Being tired and exhausted under the hot sun, Draupadi fainted with thirst. Bhima, the strongest among the Pandavas, hit the ground with his gada (a kind of club with a round head, made of metal) and lo and behold, water surged out and the pool came into being. The during the whole process a black way created which can be seen through the white stone belt.
The kund lies in an underground cave and is about 30m from the mouth. To the left of the entrance is a small Shivalinga (the phallic representation of Lord Shiva) But what’s truly astounding here is that the roof of the cave has a small opening just above the kund as this is the spot Bhim is said to have hit with his gada. The depth of this pool is believed to be measureless.
The waterfall has a terrific characteristic of imparting awesome experience to the visitors due to large vertical shaped gorge & speeding current and makes the environment smokey. The further huge roaring sound of the waterfall makes the place most interesting among tourists.

Our Experience During Visit:-
After reaching the place we completely astonished to see the landscape. The feeling couldnot be explained through words.

We went to the watchtower near Bhimkund to get a proper view of the Place. After that, we move forward to go near the Fall. The water flow was too scary and by years of movement of the stream cut the rocks and gives a splendid view.

As soon as I went near to the Kunda my interest in the place increases more and more. With curiosity, I started downward trekking to go to the base of the stream.

After 1 hour of struggle, I managed to prove my presence at the base. But it is dangerous to go to the place because the flow of water can increase any time in a day. While returning I faced a lot of problems. I could not found a good place to grab for upward trekking. I was on so much problem i started praying to God for my life and again started to move forward and at last, managed to come out from the death trap. My friend were very much angry over me for my foolishness. Due to me a lot of time was wasted.

We returned back from that place and had our lunch at Keonjhar town. It was the time to move to Sanghagra Waterfall. At the entrance there was a ticket counter to enter the waterfall. After having the ticket we go through the pathway to the fall. So many development work has been carried out by the Government like Children Park, Boating and facility of toilet. But we were very much tired by walking through the pathway and the upward downward stairs. Aftyer 15 minutes we reached to the water fall. It is small fall with sound amount of water discharge. The water of the waterfaal was kept by making a small dam.

It was the time to return to Bhubaneswar, Our home place. We returned in the the evening having a lot of unforgetable memory.

A must visit place you never want to miss .

Journey to Maa Tarini Temple, Ghatagaon

About Ghatagaon Tarini Temple:-

Ghatagaon Tarini Temple is one of the famous Shakti Pith situated in the district of Keonjhar, Odisha, India. This is about 170 km from the state capital Bhubaneswar. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Tarini. This is a famous pilgrimage place of Odisha where lot of pilgrim can be seen whole year. The temple is well connected through NH-20. As this is a tribal area the goddess Maa Tarini is mostly worshiped by the tribal. The temple enclosed by a high compound wall enclosing a large area(liker all Kalinga Architecture temple style). In the inner courtyard that houses the shrine of the deity, there are no walls for the sanctum sanatorium. It is believed that the goddess loves coconut, vermilion, and Red bangles(Made of Lakha) as offerings. We can see huge mounds of coconuts in the compound. Also, the sweet made of coconut (Nadia Kora)very famous in this area. Local handicraft like hand made terracotta horse ,elephant are available at the local market made by the local people. For accommodation there are Yatri Nibas and Lodge facility are available for night stay with reasonable price.

History Of Maa Tarini Temple:-

It is believed that the king of Keonjhargada went to Jagannath Dham Puri, to bring The goddess for Prosperity of his people. After so much request the goddess agreed to go with the king, but with a condition that she will follow and if the king will see back then she will not move further. The king asked the goddess how he will conform to her existence behind him. The goddess told you can hear the sound of my ornaments. The king started his journey from Puri to Kendujhar by hearing the sound of the ornaments of the goddess behind. At a muddy place in the deep forest suddenly the king could not hear the sound and in curiosity, he turned back to check and the goddess is coming or not. As per the condition, Maa Tarini does not move further and got worshiped there. As that place was full of the forest(Sal forest) she also was known as the queen of the forest. Gradually the tribal village grows their and named Ghatagaon. So she is also popularly known as Ghatagaon Tarini. The Tantra Puja nad Shakti puja both types of format are seen in this temple.

Actual Image Of Maa Tarini

My Journey Description :-

We plan our journey from Bhubaneswar early in the morning at about 4.30 AM. There are 2 routes to reach Ghatagaon, One through Chandikhol Chowk and the second one through Panokoili Chowk. We decided to go through the Chandikhol route.  After 1 hour of driving, we reached Chandikhol Square. Avoid the over bridge and keep the service road otherwise, you have to go an extra 5 KM to reach Chandikhol Square.  We had a tea break there and we had some inquiries about the important place and road condition with the local people. It is a good practice to while you move to a new place. Don't completely rely upon the google Map.
The road condition was quite good with so many curves and population density was quite low on Duburi road. Make sure your vehicle is in good condition otherwise you will suffer a lot. On the way, we came across TATA steel Kalinga and Nilachal Ispat Nigam Ltd(NINL).  The density of the forest was nil at that place. This the problem of industrialization in the natural area. Also, we could not find a good breakfast stall on the way. After 2 Hours near about 7.50 AM we reached Ghatagaon. Parked our car at the parking place. Brought the coconut, Flower, and bangles for offering to Maa Tarini. We were surprised to see the rush at the temple premises as it was Tuesday. However, after standing for 2 hours in the row we managed to enter the temple premises. I struggle a lot but got a good corner to have the view of the idol of the Goddess. Surprisingly I was feeling some different energy inside me. I guess it was the energy of that place due to the presence of Maa Tarini. This is the reason why people love to come to this place for the fulfillment of their wishes.
After offering the flower and coconut and got the blessing from the priest we came out from the temple courtyard. had some photo clicks for memory. We bought the famous sweet (Nadia kora) made of coconut outside the temple premises and also the terracotta handicraft as our memory. One of our friend got the prasad of the temple which is a complete meal described earlier as parcel.

Infront of the temple at the courtyard

                                              Mati Ghoda(Terracotta Horse)

It was 11.35 AM we came out of the temple and move forward to parking. We decided to go the famous Waterfall near to Ghatagaon i.e. GundichaGhagi.

About GundichaGhagi:-

Gundichaghagi is bounded by a stunning natural environment with a lush green forest. It is about 15 Km from Ghatagaon. This is the must-visit landmark if you come to Ghatagaon. This waterfall comes from the river Musala. It's is about 50 feet from the river surface. This is a series of cascading waterfalls while touching the ground make the whole area smoky due to large discharge of water with extensive force cutting the heart of the rocks with a roaring sound.
This the best place for nature lovers like me and also a heaven for picnic lovers. Peoples coming to this place has an unforgettable memory forever.
From the top of the Waterfall

An iron bridge made to enjoy the waterfall from the top. The road connected to the main entrance road. This bridge improves the beauty of this place double.

                                                    In-front of the Waterfall

In- front of the water fall the rocks are very slippery.Take special precaution during photo shoot to avoid accidents.

Panoramic view of this Place

After this long journey, we were very tired and decided to take a bath at the waterfall before having lunch. After the bath in the cool water, we feel fresh and had out lunch which we brought from the temple.

It was 3.15 PM we return back from the waterfall. We decided for the night stay at Ghatagaon Yatrinibas to attend the morning aarti early in the morning.
Journey continues ............... next day bhimkunda and sanghagra waterfall........
