History Of Maa Tarini Temple:-

It is believed that the king of Keonjhargada went to Jagannath Dham Puri, to bring The goddess for Prosperity of his people. After so much request the goddess agreed to go with the king, but with a condition that she will follow and if the king will see back then she will not move further. The king asked the goddess how he will conform to her existence behind him. The goddess told you can hear the sound of my ornaments. The king started his journey from Puri to Kendujhar by hearing the sound of the ornaments of the goddess behind. At a muddy place in the deep forest suddenly the king could not hear the sound and in curiosity, he turned back to check and the goddess is coming or not. As per the condition, Maa Tarini does not move further and got worshiped there. As that place was full of the forest(Sal forest) she also was known as the queen of the forest. Gradually the tribal village grows their and named Ghatagaon. So she is also popularly known as Ghatagaon Tarini. The Tantra Puja nad Shakti puja both types of format are seen in this temple.

My Journey Description :-

We plan our journey from Bhubaneswar early in the morning at about 4.30 AM. There are 2 routes to reach Ghatagaon, One through Chandikhol Chowk and the second one through Panokoili Chowk. We decided to go through the Chandikhol route.  After 1 hour of driving, we reached Chandikhol Square. Avoid the over bridge and keep the service road otherwise, you have to go an extra 5 KM to reach Chandikhol Square.  We had a tea break there and we had some inquiries about the important place and road condition with the local people. It is a good practice to while you move to a new place. Don't completely rely upon the google Map.
The road condition was quite good with so many curves and population density was quite low on Duburi road. Make sure your vehicle is in good condition otherwise you will suffer a lot. On the way, we came across TATA steel Kalinga and Nilachal Ispat Nigam Ltd(NINL).  The density of the forest was nil at that place. This the problem of industrialization in the natural area. Also, we could not find a good breakfast stall on the way. After 2 Hours near about 7.50 AM we reached Ghatagaon. Parked our car at the parking place. Brought the coconut, Flower, and bangles for offering to Maa Tarini. We were surprised to see the rush at the temple premises as it was Tuesday. However, after standing for 2 hours in the row we managed to enter the temple premises. I struggle a lot but got a good corner to have the view of the idol of the Goddess. Surprisingly I was feeling some different energy inside me. I guess it was the energy of that place due to the presence of Maa Tarini. This is the reason why people love to come to this place for the fulfillment of their wishes.
After offering the flower and coconut and got the blessing from the priest we came out from the temple courtyard. had some photo clicks for memory. We bought the famous sweet (Nadia kora) made of coconut outside the temple premises and also the terracotta handicraft as our memory. One of our friend got the prasad of the temple which is a complete meal described earlier as parcel.

Infront of the temple at the courtyard

                                              Mati Ghoda(Terracotta Horse)

It was 11.35 AM we came out of the temple and move forward to parking. We decided to go the famous Waterfall near to Ghatagaon i.e. GundichaGhagi.

About GundichaGhagi:-

Gundichaghagi is bounded by a stunning natural environment with a lush green forest. It is about 15 Km from Ghatagaon. This is the must-visit landmark if you come to Ghatagaon. This waterfall comes from the river Musala. It's is about 50 feet from the river surface. This is a series of cascading waterfalls while touching the ground make the whole area smoky due to large discharge of water with extensive force cutting the heart of the rocks with a roaring sound.
This the best place for nature lovers like me and also a heaven for picnic lovers. Peoples coming to this place has an unforgettable memory forever.
From the top of the Waterfall

An iron bridge made to enjoy the waterfall from the top. The road connected to the main entrance road. This bridge improves the beauty of this place double.

After this long journey, we were very tired and decided to take a bath at the waterfall before having lunch. After the bath in the cool water, we feel fresh and had out lunch which we brought from the temple.

It was 3.15 PM we return back from the waterfall. We decided for the night stay at Ghatagaon Yatrinibas to attend the morning aarti early in the morning.
